FFF with The Greeting Farm - You're Beautiful

Happy Friday!  It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.  This week Jo challenged us to use flowers on our projects.

For my project I used Wild Sprout Gracie since she has a flower on her hat.  For my papers I chose an older Basic Grey pad because I loved the little floral print on this paper.  To keep with the floral theme, I added a few flowers in the corner.  Gracie was colored with copics on SU's Naturals Ivory paper, and yes, it does have little specks in the paper, those aren't smudges ;)  Coloring on this paper was a bit different from the Copic X-press it paper I normally use, but I think it worked out ok.   I added a little butterfly above the sentiment and a few pearls.

For this picture I had to use my daughter's camera since the battery on mine ran out.  While there are some things I love about her camera, I'm not used to taking pictures with it ~ I can't seem to get the sentiments to photograph sharply.....I have a macro setting on my camera and I can't find one on hers so I'm not sure how to fix that.

Head on over to the TGF blog to see the rest of the Design Team's fabulous projects and be sure to join us with this weeks challenge!

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day!  :)

A Little Notebook

Happy Thursday everyone!

It's Jodi and today I have a cute little project to share with you.  I am always looking for paper to write notes on and decided to make a little notebook to keep by my desk.

For this notebook, I used Awareness Anya.  I colored her with copics and then cut her out.  I decided to make an outdoor scene on this because the other day I came across the wood fence and just had to use it.  I had bought it at a rummage sale awhile back, put away, and then proceeded to forget all about it....please tell me I'm not the only one that does that ;)

I just added a rose to the fence to keep it simple.  I normally add ribbon to the spiral of my notebooks, and I tried it on this one, but it just didn't look right, so I took it all off.

If you have made any notebooks with TGF stamps, link them up in the comments I'd love to see them.

Sorry for keeping these posts so short lately, but since Regionals is just 5 weeks away I have been extremely busy with my Destination Imagination teamsI  Between my two teams, I have practices 5 days a week (some days I spend up to 9 hours on just DI stuff) and some fundraisers thrown in (actually have to bake a few things for another bake sale tomorrow).

This time of the DI season always stresses me out....so much left to do and time is ticking away......I know my past experience has shown me that they always get it done, but I still can't help but to worry....makes for some sleepless nights!

For my Elementary school team we are a Community Partner (they are doing Project Outreach, which is a community service project)  so I have been trying to fit in "labor" for them.  They still have a lot of work done to be done to meet their goal and have asked for my help.  Sorry, I can't tell you what they are doing for their project, but maybe their team name will give you a bit of a clue....it's Kids Fur Pawz.

My Middle School team, The Kamkrtl's  (they are doing In Disguise) still have a lot of work ahead of them, but are making good progress, and hopefully will accomplish a lot more with 8 hours of practice between tomorrow and Saturday.  Now I need to start getting my house ready for them to come over.....paint, carpets and kids do not always make for the best combination...time to pull out the tarps ;)

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day!

DTT with The Greeting Farm

Today is time for another Double Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week Joni challenged us to a sketch.  Here is my card:

I used CC Friday Night.  I did a combination of copic coloring and paper piecing.  I added some pearls to her shoes and stickles to her necklace and bracelet.  The sentiment is from the Flutter Heart set.  I came across some paper flowers I bough awhile back and thought it matched really well with the pinkish patterned paper.

And here is Joni's sketch for us....I love it!
We'd love to have you join us this week (and I'd really love to see what you do with my sketch).  Just head on over to the blog to link up your entry.

Sorry for the short post....yesterday the kids had off of school (today too) and so we've had kids coming and going the past few days.

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Retro-Fresh Wednesday with The Greeting Farm

Today it's time for Retro Fresh Wednesday, a month long challenge, over at The Greeting Farm.

The theme for this month is
♥HEARTS♥
(and use a TGF stamp that is older than 6 months)

For my card I chose to use the Blush Heart stamp to make a background paper and then the Flutter Heart stamp set for the image and sentiments.  I love the boy girl image and had not yet used it, so I knew I wanted that on my card, although I was almost afraid to use it since I am so used to coloring images but I'm glad I did.  I love how it turned out and it was a nice change to make a "quick" card.  I was originally going to add ribbon on the horizontal paper strip, but when I laid it on to see how it looked it ended up covering the hearts on that paper....so I chose to leave it off and added some pearls instead.

We'd love to have you join in the Retro Fresh Challenge....remember, you have an entire month to enter and the winner gets a 4x6 stamp set of their choice as well as a single stamp.

Stop back tomorrow.....something exciting is coming and you won't want to miss it!

DTT with The Greeting Farm

Today is time for another Double Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week it was my turn to pick the challenge and I chose to make a sketch.  Here is my card:

Since Valentine's Day is just 2 days away, I knew I wanted to make a Valentine's Day card, so I went through all of my Greeting Farm stamps and came across Stella.  I haven't used her for a long time, and since she is holding an envelope (which could be a valentine), I decided she was the one I was going to use.  She was colored with copics and then I added some white dots to her dress with a gel pen.  I also added some stickles to the heart on her dress and the heart on the envelope.  The sentiment was stamped and then cut out using part of a punch.  I added some ribbon, a flower and some pearls to finish it off.

We'd love to have you join us this week (and I'd really love to see what you do with my sketch).  Just head on over to the blog to link up your entry.

DTT with TGF

Today is time for another Double Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week Peggy's challenge for us is a color challenge.

I used Lovey Bean colored her with copics, added some stickles to her wings and cut her out.  The sentiment is from the Flutter Heart stamp set and underneath it I added some hearts that were scraps from my border punch.  I punched a few papers with my heart border punch and layered them on top of some Valentine themed paper.  The lager hearts were cut from nesties.  I added some polka dot organdy ribbon to finish it off.  When I look at this card, I can't help but think of cotton candy!

Hmm....so did you guess the color challenge yet?  It is Pink, White and Blue.
I was also going through some of my older cards and thought I'd share these two since they fit the challenge:

This card uses Lolli Anya, which happens to be retired.

This card uses Mermaid Anya and Mer Ian (digi stamp)

We'd love to see you join us this week.  Just head on over to the blog to link up your entry.

You're Positively Wonderful

Happy Friday!  It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.  This week Anita challenged us to ribbon and/or lace on our projects.

For my card today I chose to use Awareness Anya.  I colored her with copics and paper pieced her dress.  The sentiment is from the Sitting Wonderful stamp set and punched out with the Key Tag SU punch.  That particular punch doesn't have a matching layering punch so I adhered it onto cardstock and just cut out around it.  I added some matching grosgrain ribbon and a button with the same ribbon threaded through the holes.

Head on over to the TGF blog to see the rest of the Design Team's fabulous projects and be sure to join us with this weeks challenge!

Recipe :
Stamps:   TGF - Awareness Anya, Sitting Wonderful

Embellishments:   Grosgrain Ribbon; Button
