It is still unbearably cold here. This morning the temp was -17 and I don't even want to know what the wind chill was. The current 5:00pm temp is -8 with a windchill of -27 (expecting wind chills of up to -40). School has once again been canceled for tomorrow. The kids are glad to be home for another day, but are a bit bummed out about missing "Popcorn Friday" at school ~ perhaps they will have it Monday for them.

The kids enjoyed their indoor picnic today, and we ended up making chocolate chip cookie bars instead of cookies, and the kids think they are delicious.

Shimmerz has added 4 fabulous new colors to their Blingz line. These are perfect for those upcoming Valentine's Day projects! Visit Shimmerz and you can enter to win these new colors (ends January 18th)!

The current temp is -9 and dropping with a windchill of -27. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. Needless to say, school has been canceled for tomorrow. Good thing we have plenty of hot chocolate on hand. My kids are so excited they don't have school, and are looking forward to spending the day with mom (although Ashley is a bit disappointed that she won't have Daisies tomorrow). I think we will have an indoor picnic and bake some cookies, the only hard part will be getting them all to agree on what kind of cookies to make.....I'm sure they will also play Wii (thanks again Uncle Craig for the awesome Christmas gift), and Tyler will probably be spending quite a bit of time on Webkinz trying to catch those snowflakes.

I'm hoping to be able to get Ashley's birthday party invitations done tomorrow too, since we need to get those out soon.

At Victoria Case Stamps I found an awesome blog candy giveaway. It closes tomorrow, the 15th, so hurry on over there.

Well, who would have thought, I've finally taken the plunge and created a blog. I know absolutely nothing about blogging, so it will definitely be a learning experience for me. I'm sure it will be a little bit before I get things up and going the way I would like, but I had to start somewhere...... I hope to update this once a week .

I've been busy doing some card challenges, and I also entered 3 cards in Pink Cat Studio's Lily the Fairy contest.

Here are the cards I entered:

I'm not sure if any of these will win, but I did have a lot of fun using this fairy image!

UPDATED to add that I did not win the contest, but as I said, I had a lot of fun with this fairy. All the cards that were entered (over 200) were amazing ~ sure glad I didn't have to choose a winner!
