TGF New Release - It's Frou Frou

It's the end of the month, and you know what that means.....previews for the new stamps! Today is the third and final day of previews,  Today I am showcasing the new Frou Frou stamp.  This is a very large stamp and full of possibilities!
When my kids were younger, for each birthday I would make something related to their birthday theme and put it in a picture frame, so for my first project I decided to do something similar.  I colored Frou Frou with copics and added a lot of stickles.  The background paper was black and off white, so I colored in all the off white parts with a copic to make it pink and black.  The frame was originally crackled pink, so I painted over it in black, let it dry a bit and then rubbed it off so that the black just stuck to the crackled places and the ridges.  I added a few pearls and a chiffon rose to finish it off.

For my second project I made a birthday card.  I colored Frou Frou with copics.  The sentiment is from the new Clear Birthday set.  I added a flower and some rhinestones (both colored with a copic), along with some ribbon.

Stop on over at The Greeting Farm to see some more gorgeous cards using Frou Frou and to find out how you can win her!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!  :)

Baby Boo's Shower Hop

How exciting.....in just a few short weeks the Diedrich's will get to meet Baby Boo and welcome her to the family!  I am so happy for them and wish them all the best!  I definitely miss those baby days and will be living vicariously through Jess ;)

For today's hop I created a little picture frame.  I painted the wooden frame with acrylic paint and then attached some MME paper to both the front of the frame and the picture area.  In the centers of the flowers I added little pearls.  To highlight the center area I added some trim around the opening.  The flower embellishment was made with ribbon, a flower colored with copics, a pearl button and a "welcome baby" charm.  The image (colored with copics) and sentiment are from the Baby Anya and Ian set.
Be sure to leave a comment on each blog because one lucky winner will recieve a Onesie Die Set, generously donated by Marie.  The blog hop will continue through Friday, July 19th at 11:30pm CST and the winner will be announced on Saturday, July 20th.

Garden Variety Tuesday at TGF

It's Tuesday so that means time for another Garden Variety Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week Annie Rose gave us a sketch challenge:

For my card I used Cheeky Lessons and colored her with copics.  I added some Crystal Effects to her glasses and the apple for shine.  The buttons are from Jane's Buttons and I added some embroidery floss to them.  The ribbon had white stitching, but I colored the white with one of the copic markers I used for her dress. The little embellishments in the corner are from a set of clear dollar stamps from a few years back.  The papers are Lily Bee and one is from a stack I picked up at Walmart one night when my daughter and her friend wanted to go there to get some party supplies.

Here is the sketch:

Also, for the 4-13 year olds, there is a Kidz Contest at The Farm this week.  It will run through Sunday July 21st at 8:00 pm.  Check out the post I linked above for more details.

I thought I could get all 4 of my kids to participate, but only Trevor had enough time to actually complete a card (we have been crazy busy this past week with play practices, kids over, kids going to friends houses and being away most of the weekend).  Trevor is 9 and here is his card:

Trevor used McSpendid Farm and Sheriff Ian (both retired).  He colored them with copics and metallic paint pens and then cut them all out.  I love how he made the cow have spots!  When he was cutting, he said "I think I should bubble cut the chicks feet and the pigs tail so I don't cut them off"  ~ love how he was thinking ahead.  He used my grass paper punch for the edge of the green paper and my sizzix die for the sun.  The sentiment is also from the Simple Stories paper pad and he chose it because he said "This is perfect for my card since it is sunshiny"  I think he did a great job (and think he may be able to line up paper better than me).

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!  :)

Summertime - Smile Everyday

Happy Friday!  I'm a little late today, but it's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.

Today's challenge is to use punches or die cuts:

For my card I used Wild Sprout Elena and colored her with copics and used a black glaze pen for the lens part of her sunglasses.  For the tree I colored some Creamy Caramel paper to look like bark and then used the cloud die from the Mini Clouds with Die set (currently only the stamp set is available) for the leaves.  The fence is the TGF Fence Die, and the sentiment and the "shrub" is from the Mini Fleurs with Die set.  I used a punch for the grass and butterflies (I also added some Shimmerz paint to these) and the sun is cut from a nesties die.

FFF with TGF

Happy Friday!  I hope you had a wonderful 4th!  My daughter gave me a patriotic manicure and then we all went to our usual place to go see the fireworks with our neighbors and grilled out.  We had a great time and couldn't have asked for better weather!

It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.  Today's challenge is to use the colors Red, White and Blue along with Ribbon.

For my card I used the new CC Tuesday Premiere stamp along with the polaroid die and the heart die from the new Film and Polaroid Die set.  I thought my paper pad from Authentique was Red, White and Blue, however the white turned out to be more of a cream color, so I added the doily in there for the white.  For the ribbon I used bakers twine and colored the white of it with a copic to match the paper a bit better.

It's a New Release Blog Hop with TGF

Happy July 1st everyone, thank you so much for joining us on our Release Day!  With the Film Strip die, Heart die, and Polaroid die, it's a Picture Perfect kind of day.  Last week we had the pleasure of debuting the set of those three dies, as well as (CC) Tuesday Premiere and the new Cheeky Lesson, and today YOU have the opportunity to win it all!

It's time for our Monthly Blog Hop, where you will see more projects by the Design Team.  Leave a comment on each blog, then hop back over here to let us know you're done.  That's it! One random winner will be selected, and win the ENTIRE RELEASE.  Be sure to finish the hop by tomorrow night (July 2nd) at 11:30pm (CST).  The winner will be announced on July 3rd, just in time for the fireworks! ;)

Here is my card today:

I used Cheeky Lessons and colored her with copics.  I used some old DCWV school papers along with some corkboard "paper".  I kept the embellishments pretty simple using a cut down pin for a thumbtack and a Maya Road ruler (so glad I found those).  Click on the links below and hop away, good luck everyone!

And back here to the TGF blog to let us know you're done.

Have a wonderful Monday, thank you so much for joining us!
