Spring Ducks

I had this image colored for almost a week now and have been meaning to make it into a card for the Clearly Delightful challenge which was to use a duck image.

Instead of faux stitching like I normally do, I decided to try and use real stitching.  While my lines are pretty straight, I don't like the corners.  I definitely need more practice to try and figure out how to make the corners more square, and to figure out how to end the thread without going over the edge...but hey, it's a start, and for my first time, I'm pretty happy with it.  The satin bow was made with my bow easy and then I threaded some organdy through the center and then through a button and tied that in a bow.  I wish I knew where the image came from, but unfortunately I don't have any clue (it was just saved as ducks on my computer over a year ago).  Of course the image was colored with my copics.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - Use stitching

Paper Sundaes - Glittery Spring - I hope my shimmery organdy counts
Allsorts - 3,2,1 - 3 types of paper, 2 types of ribbon, 1 image
Bee Crafty - "Sew Cute" - use stitching
The Corrosive Challenge - "Sew it Up" - use stitching
Crafty Cardmakers - Digital Delights
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Keep it Simple
Cute Daisy May - Bright and Cheerful
Sophisticat Challenges - Stitching
The Pink Elephant - Ribbon
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Spring is in the Air
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - "All about Me" - use what you love (Copics, Ribbon, Bow Easy and stitching )
ABC Challenge - O is for One Paper (only 1 DP used)
Crafty Creations - Stitching
Inky Impressions - Spring
Little Red Wagon - Ribbon
Your Next Stamp - Spring Colors
Lots to Do - Use a machine (sewing machine)
Stamp Something - Touch of Spring

Have a wonderful day!

Love your image, lovely stitching! The corners look fine to me! (I guess you're stopping at the end, needle still in, lifting foot, turning card and then carrying on, rather than carrying on sewing round the corner??...sez me who can't sew!) Thank you for joining OSAAT's Challenge!
Hope to see you next time too

Fabulous card!! Love the image and that perfect bow! To end my sewing, I crank the machine manually the last few stitches and end by putting the needle back into the very first hole so that it ends up a perfect square. Then I pull all the threads to the back, and tape them down. HTH and thanks for playing along with us at Your Next Stamp Challenges!
