This weeks challenge over at Squigglefly is to make a card using the colors pink and black along with a color of your choice (I chose white), as well as two flowers and two brads.
Instead of doing a girl image which would have been my normal go to image for these colors, I chose to use Tickery Dickery Doc and colored "her" pink with black highlights accented with the Sakura stardust pen and printed up a fun sentiment on the computer to go along with it. I placed my two brads in the center of the flowers on top of some wonderful bead caps I found yesterday at Michael's (finally ~ I've been looking for these things forever). There were colds going around school last week, and my daughter ended up with one the last few days of school. Well, Friday I had a sore throat all day, and just figured it was from sleeping with the ceiling fan on all night, but over the weekend, I ended up with a terrible cold. I've been sneezing and blowing all day long ~ summer colds are the worst, and I usually end up having them for at least a week :(. I could give this card to my DH, not in the fun playful way it was intended to be, but in hopes that he makes me a nice bowl of chicken and dumpling soup.....or maybe not.....
