Farm Fresh Friday - All that Sparkles

Hope St. Nick was good to everyone last night ;)   Well, since it's Friday, that means it's time for another Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm .  This week it was my turn to pick the challenge.  I love diamonds, well, actually pretty much any sparkly jewelry ;), glitter nail polish, glitter Christmas decorations, rhinestones, and well you get the idea.  So, I decided to incorporate my love of all things sparkly, into this weeks challenge.....All That Sparkles.  You can use rhinestones, glitter, glittered papers, metallic papers, metallic embellishments, etc.....basically anything that sparkles.

For my first card I used the Holiday Blessings Clear Stamp Set along with some TGF exclusive Holiday papers, which have since sold out.   I colored the trees with copics and then added rhinestones to each one and colored stickles to the tree toppers.  The two background papers from the TGF set I also accented with stickles (note to self.....next time remember to add the stickles AFTER the paper is adhered to the card and NOT before cutting it or you will have to wait until it all dries to continue  ;)  The Deconstructed Sketch looked like fun this week, so I used that for the card layout.

For this card I used the newer Dollie - digi stamp.  She is colored in copics and I added some white polka dots with a gel pen to her dress.  I added stome stickles to the background paper on top and to her collar.  I used two different ribbons and a polka dot button and then added some rhinestones to the punched border.

Be sure to visit The Greeting Farm blog to see some beautiful creations from the Design Team, and to see how to play along with this week's challenge.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!  :)

Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Today it's time for another Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm.  Joni challenged us to a color challenge.  I loved the combo so much that I made two cards.
For my first card I used an older (and retired) stamp, Sassy Suzi.  I colored her with copics and added some stickles to the "fur" trim on her coat.  Her shirt and shoes are colored with a silver metallic pen.  I added some rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes on the border and to bring in a little more silver I used some silver cording.
For this card I used Holiday Anya 3  and the digital image of Beanie Ian (which I had printed out before the rubber stamp <here> was available).  Don't they look cute together!?!  They are both colored with copics.  I added some white polka dots to Anya's scarf and some stickles to her hand warmer.  I also added some silver "pearls" to her boots and some silver to the star in her hair.  For the puffs on the end of Ian's hat I used some white liquid applique and colored it with a copic after I heated it up. This background paper was perfect for the challenge.  I cut out two of the glittered snowflakes from the leftover piece of this background paper and added them to the top of the card and for a little more silver I colored the edge of the sentiment with a silver metallic pen and added some silver "pearls".

And here is the color combo in case you haven't guessed....pale blue, silver and white.

Yee-Haw it's Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday!   While going through my paper cabinet, I came across this unopened pack of paper and knew that the You're Wanted stamp set would be absolutely perfect for it it.

I ended up paper piecing everything except her hair and skin (which was colored with copics), and even put part of her hat on dimensionals.  I added some stickles to the heart on her hat.  It's been a long time since I have used my sewing machine so I pulled it out, threaded up a bobbin and sewed a border on the paper panels and also sewed the lace onto the card.
The embellishment that I made is really easy!  Just take some lace, accordion fold it and stitch some thread through all the layers.  Pull the thread so the lace forms a circle and then sew it shut.  I then put some bakers twine through a button, tied it in a bow and hot glued it to the center of the lace circle.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Release Day at The Greeting Farm

SWEET NOVEMBER!  It's Release Day!

Hi all!  We have JUST the cure for your trick-or-treating hangover today at The Greeting Farm!  It's November 1st and the gorgeous images you've seen for the past few days are now available in the TGF STORE!

We are happy to be adding My Heart, Frou Frou Sweet, and the adorable Oliver/Amelia Valentine to our line of lovable, versatile TGF characters.

For my card I chose the new Oliver and Amelia Valentine set.  I colored Oliver with copics and put him on a heart background which I added a few of the heart cutouts from the border punch to.  A bit of ribbon and some pearls and it was done.  I love the sentiments in this set, but I think this is my favorite....every night when I tuck the kids in I say "I Love You Always and Forever", so this one will definitely get a lot of use!

Today as always, there's a chance to WIN all the above!  Be sure to check out the TGF BLOG too, not only for our hop, but to see who's "ALTER EGO" won the contest!  We're excited and can't wait to get started, so just head on over and let the fun begin!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!  :)

TGF Previews Day 1 - My Heart

It's almost the end of the month, and aside from Halloween, that means new releases are coming out at The Greeting Farm!  Today is the first day of previews and I get to show you the new "My Heart" stamp set. This is a gorgeous 6"x9" set and has a variety of images, words and sentiments.  This set would be great addition for those that love mixed media projects.
For my first card I colored the image with copics and paper pieced her dress and heart ribbons.  Instead of making her dress sleeveless, I made it mid arm length.  I stamped one of the sentiments on patterned paper and sponged the outer edges.  I added a few pearls and roses to finish it off.

I also colored this image with copics and paper pieced her dress, but you may notice she looks a bit different.  After coloring her I though she would be just as cute without the pony tails, so I gave her a haircut.  I also changed the dress to be sleeveless this time.   The papers are from The Echo Park Sweet Day collection (currently out of stock).  I stamped the heart from this new set, cut it out and used it for an accent piece.  To finish it off I added some organdy ribbon and a rose along with the "loved" sentiment which is also from this new set.

Stop on over at The Greeting Farm to see some more gorgeous samples using this versatile stamp set and to find out how you can one of your own!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!  :)

Alter Ego.....

Hello!

Welcome to DAY 1 of our fun contest announcement!

After a lot of requests to bring back special contests such as "Rockin Rebel", The Greeting Farm has a few FUN announcements to make today!

First of all, beginning in November, we will be discontinuing the Retro Fresh challenge and also the GVT, but have no fear, a new FUN contest will take place quarterly such as the one we're about to announce today.   In addition, we will be continuing all the Farm Fresh Friday challenges, so there will still be plenty of fun on the Farm!

We are also excited to announce another customer-wide blog hop opportunity for the holidays, so be sure to stay tuned for info on that right after the November release!

For now,  we are excited to introduce you to TGF's latest contest:

How FUN is this going to be?   We know there are a lot of you creative peeps out there who do amazing things with our line of stamps, and sometimes you love to kick it up a notch or two by switching heads, bodies, clothes, etc.   Well, with Halloween coming up,  we thought it was the perfect time for a contest, so here's your chance to do it to WIN a prize!

For my card today I used Sassy Suzi's head and the body and hat from Latte Anya.  I colored her with copics.  I stamped the sentiment on the background paper and added some pearls and twill ribbon to finish it off.

RULES:

1.)  You MUST use at least two (2) TGF stamps to create your character.

2.)  You must create a NEW project.

3.)  You can create a card, altered project, whatever you'd like.   On day 2 of our DT preview (10/24), the IN LINKZ will open.  You have until 10/31 (Halloween!) to create your "Alter Ego".  Winner will be announced on RELEASE DAY, November 1st!  How exciting will THAT be?!  Well, even MORE exciting because wait until you see the prizes....

PRIZES:

1.) Winner will receive their choice of two (2) 4x6 stamp sets  AND a GUEST DESIGNER SPOT at The Greeting Farm!  We are changing the way we do our Guest Designers as of this coming month, in the hopes that we can give even more talented peeps a chance to showcase their work.  Guest spots will now incorporate 1-2 features a month on the TGF blog and give LOTS of creative freedom to the designer, so believe me, you'll want to show us what you've got!

DEADLINE:

InLinkz will open on October 24th on the 2nd ALTER EGO post on the TGF blog.  All contest submissions should be uploaded by October 31st at 11pm CST.

Have TONS of fun with this... we can't wait to see who YOUR "Alter-EGO" will be!

Happy Hallobean

Today it's time for another Garden Variety Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm!  This week Anita challenged us to use Halloween Colors.....pretty easy to do since it is just around the corner.

For my card I used the new Hallobean digi stamp.  I colored her with copics and added some stickles to the stars and moon on her hat.  To better match the star paper to the striped paper I took a copic and colored the white stars green.  I used the spider web border punch by Martha Stewart and then added a black satin ribbon along with some chipboard stars and a chipboard sentiment.

I had to use a different paper since I ran out of my Copic x-press It......how did that happen?!?!?  Since I had some Neenah Exact Smooth White leftover from printing tags for a consignment sale I participated in I thought I'd try that.  Well, definitely not my favorite, it tends to bleed more than I would like so I have to be really careful when coloring in small spaces or along the lines, but until I get my favorite back, it will have to do ;)

Be sure to stop back tomorrow, I have something fun to share with you.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
