Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Today it's time for another Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm.  Joni challenged us to a color challenge.  I loved the combo so much that I made two cards.
For my first card I used an older (and retired) stamp, Sassy Suzi.  I colored her with copics and added some stickles to the "fur" trim on her coat.  Her shirt and shoes are colored with a silver metallic pen.  I added some rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes on the border and to bring in a little more silver I used some silver cording.
For this card I used Holiday Anya 3  and the digital image of Beanie Ian (which I had printed out before the rubber stamp <here> was available).  Don't they look cute together!?!  They are both colored with copics.  I added some white polka dots to Anya's scarf and some stickles to her hand warmer.  I also added some silver "pearls" to her boots and some silver to the star in her hair.  For the puffs on the end of Ian's hat I used some white liquid applique and colored it with a copic after I heated it up. This background paper was perfect for the challenge.  I cut out two of the glittered snowflakes from the leftover piece of this background paper and added them to the top of the card and for a little more silver I colored the edge of the sentiment with a silver metallic pen and added some silver "pearls".

And here is the color combo in case you haven't guessed....pale blue, silver and white.

Happy 5th Birthday TGF!

Happy 5th Birthday, TGF!

Hey, everyone!

Today's release is definitely a milestone for The Greeting Farm as it marks our FIFTH birthday!  Happy birthday to us!

As you've seen from this month's previews, we are going all-out to celebrate with three BIRTHDAY-themed releases and they're all available NOW in the TGF STORE!   Whether you want to GO BIG with the new Frou Frou line, classic with Birthday Anya 3, or get 'clearly' creative with the new Birthday cake stackers, there's a little something for everyone this release as we prepare to PARTY!

There will be a few birthday surprises on the Farm this month, so stay tuned, but in order to kick start today's party and this month's fab release, we're celebrating with our DT BLOG hop as usual!

Today I made a wall hanging using the new Birthday Anya 3 stamp and I just had to bring out Birthday Ian to help celebrate as well.  I colored both images with copics and also paper pieced various parts of them.  I painted the wooden plaque with acrylic paint and then added some paper to it.  The happy banner was made from the clear Bantastic set and some bakers twine.  The letters and number are rub-ons.  I colored the wood beads on the twine with copics to match the papers and added a few buttons to finish it off.

There's a LOT to celebrate today, so because we are so excited, we have FIVE prizes for our FIVE years!

THREE random digis of choice will be given away for completing the hop today, as well as TWO grand prizes of the ENTIRE AUGUST RELEASE!

Just be sure to head down this list, and then back to the TGF BLOG letting us know you've finished the hop. You have until 11:45pm CST to finish hopping and we'll announce the winners during FFF tomorrow!  WOO HOO!

Thank you so much for celebrating TGF's big day with us!  As always, it's because of you that TGF is turning 5 with style and success.   Here's to the next 5!  Thank you, all!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!  :)

Garden Variety Tuesday on The Farm

It's Tuesday so that means time for another Garden Variety Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week, since today is the 155th day of the year, Peggy challenged us to create a card using a 1-5-5 recipe and here is what I came up with:

I used the new Baby Anya and Ian stamp set.  Ian is colored with copics and cut out.  I used pretty many layers on this one.  After I put the ribbon on and added my layers I realized you really couldn't notice it so I added a bit more as a "tab". The embellishment on the bottom left is a button with twine and a baseball hat charm hung from it.  I added three brads to the bottom right corner and one on in the center of the gear.  The image panel is raised on dimensionals.

So, have you figured out my 1-5-5?  It is 1 image, 5 different patterned papers, 5 different embellishments (brads, button, charm, ribbon and twine).

Stop by The Greeting Farm blog to check out the rest of the Design Teams amazing projects this week.  While you're there, we'd love to have you join us this week ~ just link up your entry on the blog.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day!

Anya's galore.....and Ian too

The Greeting Farm had a bunch of challenges up and I decided to try and get them all completed, and this is the result.

Challenge: Javablu (use the colors blue and brown)
For this card I knew exactly what paper I wanted to use and I thought that this Miss Anya would look good with it. I also got to use one of my previously "unused" EK Success punches too.

This is also for the following challenge:
Secret Crafter - Turquoise and brown

Challenge: Use any Sketch ~
I followed the Basic Grey Challenge sketch for this one (but unfortunately posted it too late to enter it over there).
I had this image already colored for quite some time, and finally decided to use her on a card (besides the colors just went so well with this Lime Rickey paper).

This is also for the following challenges:

Stamp With Us - Color challenge from a picture
Cute Card Thursday - Lazy Daze - Summer inspired (theme or colors)
Stamp Something - Birthday Somethings

Challenge: Crazy Hair

I had no idea what to do with this one so I decided to give Ian dredlocks. I just took some black yarn, doubled it up and then tied a few knots right next to each other. When the dredlocks were done, I cut a slit in his hat and slid the tops through.

This is also for the following challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar - "Travel" using a theme or form of transportation and a skateboard counts
Digital Tuesdays - Male Cards (sentiment inside is digital "Happy Birthday to one cool dude!")
Stamp Something - Birthday Somethings
Pile it On - "Oh Boy"

Challenge: Bling and Shine

Well of course I just had to use lots of glitter on this one and metal accents and what better image to use than Rockstar Anya. I came across this wonderful zipper trim in the clearance section at Michael's and somehow it, well two actually, just happened to jump into my basket ;) I think it's fun!

This card is also for the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Tags
Crafty Creations - Tags
Creative Inspirations - Spots, Dots and Circles (and yes, this is a different challenge blog from the first one)

Challenge: Back to School
I had to go with Teacher Anya for this one and matched her up with my School stack. I tore out a piece of paper from a notebook, wrote a bunch of stuff on it and used the spiral punch on the edge .

Birthday Boy Ian

Yesterday was the Club Anayaversary Blog Hop with The Greeting Farm and Club Anya to celebrate their first year. During the celebration they gave away this adorable digi image of Birthday Boy Ian . If you would like him, he is vailable for purchase at The Greeting Farm. One of the challenges they had was to use this image and post your creation by 7:45 pm, so of course I had to play along.

This is the first card I created with this cutie:

This card is for the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant - sketch
Kaboodle Doodles - use digital images
Bee Crafty - Add Color to your images

Stamps: Birthday Boy Ian ~ digi stamp ~ The Greeting Farm; Sentiment ~ computer generated

Paper: Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie; Gina K Pure Luxury White; DSP - Jersey Shore
Embellishments:
Vintage Button; Dew Drops
Tools: Circle Punch; Photo Corner Punch; Sizzix Circles Die

And now for my favorite card of the two ~ I took the above image and changed it into this:
When I saw this image, I knew I wanted to make a card with Ian coming out of the present, and being a digital image, it was really easy to do. I kept the layout pretty simple since the paper is quite busy and I wanted the image to be the main focus.

Here is a peek at the dimension added:

This card is for the following challenges:

Paper Play - Add Dimension
Bee Crafty - Add Color to your images
Kaboodle Doodles - Use digi images

HAPPY ANYAversary BLOG HOPPIN' BASH!!!

I couldn't miss Anya's birthday, so I decided to participate in the Happy Anyaversary Blog Hoppin Bash. To see a list of all participants, please visit the Club Anya Blog or The Greeting Farm Blog. I got my first Anya's in April, and have added to my collection a few times since. All four of my kids love Anya and Ian, so they enjoy sitting alongside me and making their own creations.

Here is my Happy Birthday Card using Space Ian. This card was made for my son Trevor. I always tell him I love him to the moon, so this image was very fitting.

I wanted to do a space type scene, so I started with a base of cardstock in Night of Navy, added a layer of Brushed Silver and then another layer of Night of Navy with stars stamped in Silver ink. I cut the moon from Sahara Sand cardstock, embossed it with the Dots & Spots embossing folder and then sponged White craft ink over the top. Space Ian was colored in with copics and then cut out to stand on the moon. I hand wrote the sentiment since I don't have any similar stamps.

I carried the space theme to the inside with a few punched stars, but forgot to take a picture of it before we wrote inside it.

Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated
Stamps: Space Ian ~ The Greeting Farm; Background Basics; Sentiment ~ handwritten
Ink/Coloring: Encore Silver; Memento Tuxedo Black; White Craft; Copics (E00, E11, R20, Y21, Y23, Y28, B34, B37, B39, R29, N0, N2, N4, N6); Marvy Metallic Silver Gel Pen
Paper: Sahara Sand, Night of Navy, Brushed Silver; Gina K Pure Luxury White
Embellishments:

Tools: Star Punches, Circle Punches; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Dots & Spots); CM Cutting System

I also wanted to do an Anya Birthday card, but unfortunately didn't get around to finishing it in time....

TGF Summer Gardener Submissions

I decided that it's time to share the submissions I sent over to The Greeting Farm for the Summer Gardener DT call. All submissions had to use the colors orange and yellow. Of course I didn't have any DP with orange and yellow as the main colors, so a shopping trip was in order. I picked up some wonderful papers from Kaiser as well as the Lime Rickey papers from Basic Grey.

For this card, I actually colored two different images which are very similar with the main difference being the hair color ~ one blonde and one brunette (so if you see another card later on that looks familiar, that's why). I liked the blonde with these papers, but felt the brunette image just "popped" more so that's the one I went with.

Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated
Stamps: Miss Anya (The Greeting Farm); Sentiment ~ Pupstar (The Greeting Farm)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Pumpkin Pie; Copics (E00, E11, R20, R83, R85, YG03, YG05, YR12, YR14, Y21, Y23, E31)
Paper: Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie; Gina K Pure Luxury White; DP - Kaiser (Play Time)
Embellishments: Ric Rac Ribbon (JoAnn's); Flowers (Prima); Brads (Making Memories); Stickles

Tools: Curly Label Punch

I couldn't leave Ian out, so I had to make a boy card. It does look a bit plain, the more I look at it and probably should have added something more in the line of embellishments, but I just don't seem to have a lot of "boy" themed embellishments.....

Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated
Stamps: Skater Ian (The Greeting Farm); Sentiment ~ Pupstar (The Greeting Farm)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics (E00, E11, R20, B21, B23, Y11, Y13, Y21, E31, E55, E57, E59, YR12, YR14, YR15)
Paper: Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie; Gina K Pure Luxury White; DP - Basic Grey (Lime Rickey)
Embellishments: Eyelet Snaps (Making Memories)

And finally I had to ink up my new Hope and Grace set. Her skirt reminded me of an upside down flower, so I decided to color it in a graduated color. The scallop border around the oval is actually a bunch of circles layered on the back of the oval. The color of the flowers is a bit off in this picture, but I just could not get the lighting right for this picture no matter what I did.....hate when that happens. I love the look of the tiny rhinestones around the scalloped circle, but boy is this a chore with long nails, they kept wanting to stick underneath my nails.

Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated
Stamps: Hope and Grace (The Greeting Farm)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie; Copics (E00, E11, R20, R83, R85, YG03, YG05, YR12, YR14, Y21, Y23, E31)
Paper: Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie; Gina K Pure Luxury White; DP - Kaiser (Play Time)
Embellishments: Ric Rac Ribbon (JoAnn's); Wide Grosgrain Ribbon; Brads (Making Memories); Stickles; Adhesive Rhinestones (Michael's); Flowers (Prima)

Tools: Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch; CM Cutting System; Martha Stewart Border Punch; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Swiss Dots)

Since you didn't see an announcement, I obviously did not make the DT this time around, but hey, there's always the fall.....and besides, I now have 3 great cards in my stash, so not all is lost.
