A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.....TGF Release

It's the end of the month, and you know what that means.....previews for the new stamps!  Today is the third and final day of previews,  Today I am showcasing the "polaroid" die from the new Film Die Set.

For my first card I decided to go with an Instagram theme and made an Instagram camera:

The top part was sponged and I added some ribbon for the stripes.  The lens and the view finder have a piece of transparency underneath to make it look more realistic.  In addition to the polaroid die I used Delicate Words Die set and the Anya Styles set.

For my second card I went with a black and white picture color theme:

I used the polaroid die and the film strip die from the Film Die Set along with the new Creeper Crew stamp, Tuesday Premiere....LOVE her!   To get the STAR sentiment to fit in the film strip die, I cut out the two strips that divided the film panels.  I added silver glitter, used a silver paint pen to add dots on the card, and a ribbon with a bunch of silver "pearls".

Stop on over at The Greeting Farm to see some more gorgeous cards using the polaroid die and to find out how you can win the new Film Die Set!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!  :)

Retro Fresh Wednesday with TGF

Today it's time for Retro Fresh Wednesday, a month long challenge, over at The Greeting Farm.

The theme for this month is
Over the Top - Lots of Layers
(and use a TGF stamp that is older than 6 months)

For my card I used Lolli Anya (who is now retired).  I colored her with copics and added some stickles and rhinestones to the image.  For my embellishments I used some taffeta ribbon, a lot of pearls, bakers twine for the lollipop, a doily and a heart button.  The sentiment is from the Mini Cupcakes set.  Three of the papers are from Lily Bee Design and  the other is unknown.

We'd love to have you join in the Retro Fresh Challenge....remember, you have an entire month to enter and the winner gets a 4x6 stamp set of their choice as well as a single stamp.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day :)

Dream - Canvas

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today was my day to post on The Greeting Farm blog and I decided to share fun little project I did.

When the mixed media craze started I went out and bought a bunch of canvas panels.....unfortunately the only thing I have used any of them for was......taking pictures of my cards.  So, I decided to pull one out and try to make something for my craft room.  I started by painting the canvas with green and blue acrylic paints.  I stamped a tree and painted over the branches with brown acrylic paint and then added buttons with embroidery floss tied on them.  For the cloud I cut some white fur fabric (see I knew those scraps I saved from when my DI team was making costumes would come in handy!) with the cloud die from the Mini Clouds with Die stamp set.  I wanted to try to stamp Garden Anya directly on the canvas and then paint her but chickened out so I colored her with copics, added some stickles to the ribbon on her hat, fussy cut her out and then added her to the canvas.  To finish it off I added some washi tape to the bottom left corner, stamped the word dream and added two rihinestones.  All in all I am happy with how this turned out and can't wait to add it to my craft room wall.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day! :)

Garden Variety Tuesday on The Farm

It's Tuesday so that means time for another Garden Variety Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week, since today is the 155th day of the year, Peggy challenged us to create a card using a 1-5-5 recipe and here is what I came up with:

I used the new Baby Anya and Ian stamp set.  Ian is colored with copics and cut out.  I used pretty many layers on this one.  After I put the ribbon on and added my layers I realized you really couldn't notice it so I added a bit more as a "tab". The embellishment on the bottom left is a button with twine and a baseball hat charm hung from it.  I added three brads to the bottom right corner and one on in the center of the gear.  The image panel is raised on dimensionals.

So, have you figured out my 1-5-5?  It is 1 image, 5 different patterned papers, 5 different embellishments (brads, button, charm, ribbon and twine).

Oh, BABY! It's time for the TGF June Release!

Hi, everyone!

Thanks so much for joining me today in the JUNE release at The Greeting Farm!

As you've seen over the past few days, we are going "ga-ga" over this new installment of cuteness available NOW in the TGF Store!   We're welcoming the new onesie die, the revamped Anya and Ian stamp set, the new Winky Bean, and a new WS Charlotte "Chic"!  We're keeping it sweet and sassy this month and can't WAIT to see what you do with these new items!

For my first card I used the new Winky Bean:
I love the playfulness of the Beans so I just had to use some fun cheerful papers.  She was colored with copics and I added a few pearls and a satin ribbon and bow to finish it off.

For my second card I used the Onesie Die and a sentiment from the Baby Anya and Ian set.
Instead of using it as a onesie, I decided to try something different.  I cut off the bottom part of the onesie, added some lace and a little button and voila....it's a dress.  I came across the baby girl ribbon and had to use it with this.

I'll leave you now to continue our Blog Hop, where you'll not only find inspiration and adorable project samples, but you'll also be on your way to a chance to WIN the ENTIRE JUNE RELEASE!   One lucky winner who hops and comments on each DT members' blog and then returns to the TGF BLOG to let us know they did, will win and you have ALL WEEKEND to hop since today's a Saturday!

Charlotte's back!

It's the end of the month, and you know what that means.....previews for the new stamps!  Today is the third and final day of previews and I get to share Charlotte Chic with you today.  I was so excited when I saw her.  Charlotte originally came out about 3 years ago as a digi stamp and now here she is better than ever:
For my first card I colored Charlotte with copics and added a flower with a brad to her headband.  I used spellbinders dies for the image panel and sentiment and colored the outer edge of the white ones with a copic marker.  The sentiment is from the Sitting Cute set and the papers are from the Citrus Stack by DCWV.  Some Ribbon, a flower and button finish it off.  I love the bright colors on this one!

For my next card I colored Charlotte with copics.  The papers are from the Olivia Collection by Basic Grey.  To keep with the floral theme of the paper I wanted to add a larger flower in the open space so I took 3 different sized flowers, added a jewelry piece and a brad to the center of them and put them on top of a few swirls for leaves.  To finish it off I added some silver self adhesive "pearls" to the image panel and the sentiment (which was from the $1 bin at Michael's).

Stop on over at The Greeting Farm to see some more gorgeous cards using Charlotte and to find out how you can win this adorable new stamp!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!  :)

FFF with TGF

Happy Friday!  It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.  Today I got to host this weeks challenge and I chose "Easy as 1,2,3".  Use 1 focal image/sentiment stamp, 2 embellishments and 3 patterned papers.  See, it really is easy!

For my card I used a sentiment from the Anya Strolls set and stamped it on a journaling card that is from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh Collection.  My three different patterned papers are from the same collection.  My two embellishments are pearls (colored to match with a copic) and ribbon.  I also added a border with the Tulip Border Die and a little butterfly to the sentiment.

Now should I admit that my original card for this challenge didn't make it to the picture stage?  Instead of taking a picture of it right away I put it aside figuring I'd do it later.  In the meantime, I decided to clean up my craft room.  Well after doing that, my card, along with my BG00 copic marker, was nowhere to be found.  I have looked for the last two days and still can't find either....thinking they may have fallen into the garbage can by my desk, which of course was emptied on Wednesday :(

Head on over to the TGF blog to see the rest of the Design Team's fabulous projects and be sure to join us this week ~ I'd love to see what you do with this challenge!
