TGF Preview.....Cheshire Bean

Today I get to share a preview from The Greeting Farm's newest Limited Edition release which is Wonderland themed and.....there is a new "Delicate Words" die set coming too!  The die set and the new stamps will be available in the TGF Store on April 1st.  Be sure to check back that day because we will also be having a Design Team blog hop to celebrate.

Today I get to share Cheshire Bean with you.

My first card is done in hot pink and black and, and I used some fun accents that were left overs from my middle school DI teams fairy costumes.....maribou feathers, tulle and "rhinestone" mesh trim.  I also added some stickles to her ears and ponytail holders.  The papers were originally black and white but I colored over the white with a pink copic marker ~ love doing that to change the look of the paper.

For my second card I used a monochromatic color theme.  The button, thread, flower and pearls were colored with copics.  Notice the sentiment on there.....that's one of the new "Delicate Words" dies ~ love that font!  I couldn't find any cardstock that matched these papers close enough, so I ended up using Naturals White paper for my base and sentiment and colored them with a copic marker.

Be sure to stop by the TGF blog to see some more gorgeous cards using this stamp and to find out how you can win this Cheshire Cat Bean stamp.

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

DTT with The Greeting Farm

Today is time for another Double Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week I got to pick the challenge, and since tomorrow is the first day of spring, I chose flowers as my challenge.  And besides, with all this snow and cold weather I could sure use a little bit of spring right about now!  I feel bad for my niece and brother in law who are visiting us this week from Arkansas....they went from some pretty nice weather to COLD and snow.

Here is my card:

I used Anya Blooms ~ she is absolutely perfect for spring time!  I colored most of her with copics and paper pieced her dress.  I added some pearls, a flower/button/twine combo and cut up a sentiment that was in the paper pad I used.

Stop by The Greeting Farm blog to check out the rest of the Design Teams amazing projects this week.  While you're there, we'd love to have you join us this week ~ just link up your entry on the blog.

Now I'm off to pack up two of our vehicles with costumes, props and backdrops for my Middle School DI team so they can practice on the stage for the rest of the week (bonus to that is the Regional tournament is held at their school, so on Saturday everything will already be there....no loading up the truck on Friday night).  When I get back home from practice tonight, I'll have to load up my Elementary team's backdrops and props for their in school performance tomorrow morning, just hope my two younger kids are well enough to be back at school for this.

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

FFF with The Greeting Farm

Happy Friday!  It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.  This week Suzanne challenged us to make it Sparkle and Shine (using either glitter, rhinestones etc.).

For my card today I used Blush Beatrice and colored her with copics!  For my sparkle and shine I chose some glittered paper (unfortunately my camera is not picking it up) and then added some colored rhinestones to the buttons on her top and shoes as well as under the sentiment (which come with this stamp).

Head on over to the TGF blog to see the rest of the Design Team's fabulous projects and be sure to join us with this weeks challenge!

Sorry to cut it short, but this virus that my kids so lovingly shared with me ;) is really getting the best of me....I can hardly see what I am typing.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Retro Fresh Wednesday with TGF

Today it's time for Retro Fresh Wednesday, a month long challenge, over at The Greeting Farm.

The theme for this month is
All about the Boys
(and use a TGF stamp that is older than 6 months)

For my card I wasn't sure which boy image to use since there are so many cute Ian stamps to choose from.  I went digging through all my TGF stamps and came across the set  "Rock the Farm" (which is now retired) and decided on this image.  It reminds me of a nice summer day, and since it was snowing here lately I needed that.  Ian is colored in copics.  While I usually add solid color cardstock behind my designer paper panels, I really like how these papers flowed together, so I skipped that step.  As for embellishing, I ted to have a hard time when it comes to boy cards so I kept it simple with a button and some twine.

We'd love to have you join in the Retro Fresh Challenge....remember, you have an entire month to enter and the winner gets a 4x6 stamp set of their choice as well as a single stamp.

Now off to bed for me.....I had all 4 kids home sick on Monday, three went back to school yesterday and my oldest daughter is still home sick.  Unfortunately I didn't avoid this one and I ended up getting it as well.  While it is never a "good time" to be sick, this is probably one of the worst times.  With out of town guests arriving on Saturday to stay with us for the week and then DI Regionals in 10 days (which means practices every day of the week until Regionals) I don't have the time to be sick.  Today I am going to put off cleaning the house and try to fit in a lot of rest to see if that helps.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

FFF with The Greeting Farm

Happy Friday!  It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm.  This week Andrea challenged us to use the color green.

For my project today I used Creeper Crew Monday Morning and colored her with copics.  I noticed that some of the Design Team has colored her with leggings, others with socks....I guess it all depends on how you look at her ;)  Either way, she looks great !  A bit of ribbon and a button/frayed ribbon embellishment finish it off.

Head on over to the TGF blog to see the rest of the Design Team's fabulous projects and be sure to join us with this weeks challenge!

The kids have off school today, so we are taking advantage of that by having my Middle School DI team come over for a 6 hour practice.  I am hoping they get a lot accomplished because the Regionals Tournament is just 2 weeks away tomorrow (and those two weeks will fly by!)  As a Team Manager this is major panic time.....after all the work the kids put into this the last few months, you just hope it all comes together as planned.  Add in a pretty major last minute change on one of their props (which may be a bit more time consuming, but if it works, a great change) to the mix and that makes for some sleepless nights (for me at least).  I was still up at 4:30 yesterday morning making a mental list of everything that needed to be done for each of my teams and trying to figure out how to fit it all in.  I know it will get done, but still can't help but stress about it.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day!  :)

DTT with The Greeting Farm

Today is time for another Double Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm. This week Anita challenged us to a color challenge using the colors blue and brown.  Here is my card:

I used Anya Blooms and colored her with copics.  Isn't she goregous?!?  She also comes with one more sentiment that says "Thank you for picking me as your friend" ~ what a great set!  I used copics to color the pearls and the border of the sentiment and added a ribbon to finish it off.

We'd love to have you join us this week.  Just head on over to the blog to link up your entry.

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!
