All Geared Up for your Special Day!

Today I have a card to show you using the Tinheart Collection stamps from Paperworks.  The image is from the Jam Tinheart set and the sentiment is from the Alfy Tinheart set.  I will admit that this is another collection that I had to buy in it's entirety and I am glad I did because these robots are just so much fun to use (not to mention cute) and there are girl robots too.

I have quite a few robot themed papers to choose from but in the end decided to use these Scenic Route papers as I thought the gear paper was a good match for the sentiment.  I colored the image with copics and added some Crystal Effects to his eyes, clock and heart.  Since I don't have any gear type embellishments, I made my own.  I cut one out from the designer paper, covered it in Crystal Effects and then added a washer to the center.  I also placed a washer on each end of the sentiment.  My youngest son looked at this card and asked if it was for him because he really likes it.....so I guess he will be recipient of this one.

Have a great day and thanks for visiting :)

Paper Works Company Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Works Friends and Family Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from Corinne's blog, but if not, please head back to the Paper Works Company blog to start from the beginning.

For my card I used Charlotte's Valentine from the Freckle Love Collection as this is one of my favorites. I colored her with copics and decided to go with a monochromatic theme so I paper pieced her dress, shoes, headband and the heart.  I added white dots to her dress and headband, liquid pearls around the outside of the heart and stickles to various parts of the image.  Instead of using Designer papers, I embossed the paper with a cuttlebug folder and then sanded the red paper so the white came through.  On the other red panel, I repeatedly stamped a sentiment in chalk ink.

Now what is a blog hop without prizes?  Peggy is giving away the following prizes to some lucky commenters on the the blog hop:

RAM Collection (set of 4)
Safari Friends (set of 4)
Aqua Amigos (set of 4)

Cupid Jacob

I came across Little Loud Stamps from Paper Works in December and ordered the complete Christmas Freckle Collection.  When I saw that they came out with a Love collection, I knew it was a must have.  I was lucky enough to have won a stamp from this line and a store credit from Peggy, so it made an affordable set even more so!  I just had to ink up Cupid Jacob first and here he is......

I followed the sketch for this weeks challenge at Paper Works.  I knew I wanted to use this DP for him, and I wish I knew who made it because I would love to have more of it!  I got it in a 6x6 DP "grab bag" from my LSS awhile back and it doesn't have any information on the back.  Jacob was colored with my copics and the bow is colored in with a metallic gold gel pen.  Stickles on his wing and the hearts finish the image off.  The adhesive pearls in the corners are from Queen and Company, and when I first got them, I didn't see myself using this particular color, but it ended up being a perfect match for this.  While I would have liked a thinner organdy ribbon, this was all I had in this color.

In addition to the Paper Works sketch challenge, I am entering this card in the following challenges:

ABC Challenge - L is for Layering
Creative Belli Blog - Glitter
Creative Inspirations - "New Year, New Products"- Stamp, Border Punch
