I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and 4 beautiful children. I am a SAHM and love to be able to help out in the kids classes whenever needed. I will again be a DI Team Manager for 2 teams this year...1 Elementary Level Team and 1 Middle School Level Team. I am also the DI Site Coordinator for my kids Elementary School.
In accordance with FTC 16 CFR Part 255, I declare that I sometimes promote and/or endorse products that I currently receive or have received either for free or at a discount.
I came across this blog in the past week, and emailed Renae from Two Scoops Rice Designs for the free digital image she is giving away and to find out more information on ordering stamps. She sent me not only this months cute bunny image, but also sent me last months garden fairy image (which I used below) ~ how sweet of her! I also found out that they now have online ordering, so I will be placing an order in the near future.
Instead of making the fairy's legs skin color, I tried to make them look like pale pink tights by using the colorless blender pen over the RV32. I would have loved to put Stickles on her hat and dress, but haven't had luck with Stickles and digital images in the past, so I skipped it.

I tried out for the Paper Make Up Stamps DT (I had already shared two of the cards I submitted (they were also submitted for Inky Impressions DT call) but unfortunately for me, I didn't make it. However Katie has picked an amazing team and I can't wait to see what they come up with. At their last release party (when we found out who the DT was), I won a Monster stamp ~ thanks again Katie! Of course I couldn't pick just one, so I bought the rest of the monsters (my boys love them and have had a blast coloring them already). Here is a card I made in the midst of stamping images for my youngest to color ~ I should have just stamped him a whole sheet of paper at once, but of course, he wanted them cut in squares like mommy. I just love this guy holding his teddy bear and my son already claimed the card as his own.

My daughter had to go to another birthday party this past Friday, so I made a few cards for her to choose from. Here is one of the cards she didn't choose (I think she saved it because she wants to use it for her sister's birthday). I love these Gingersnap stamps from CC Designs and need to get the new Easter set ~ it is adorable. I have been making a lot of square cards lately, so it was a nice change to do a "normal" size card.

The past week was so busy with the kids ~ field trips, scout meetings, my son's birthday (Happy Birthday Ty!) and sick kids ~ so I got a few things done, but haven't been able to share them until now.
Each week I am attempting to do My Favorite Things Idol Judge Challenge on SCS. This week we had to use masking on our card. I don't have a lot of MFT sets that lend themselves well to this technique, but I finally came up with one, and am quite happy with the result.
I stamped the dinosaur and then masked him off to stamp the trees behind him. I then tore a piece of paper, masked off the sky area and sponged the grassy area as well as randomly stamped the grass stamp. After that, I masked off the grass area to sponge in the sky. My final masking was to stamp the sentiment on two lines instead of just one so it fit in the small space. I combined this challenge with a sketch challenge on one of my Cafe Mom groups.

I was lucky enough to recently win two separate blog candy drawings (which was very surprising since I usually never win a thing) and would like to say Thank You to two wonderful ladies. Please be sure to stop by and visit their blogs.
Belinda ~ Thank you for this fantastic package of goodies. The stamped items you made are so cute, and I (along with my kids) will have a lot of fun with the papers, the metal embellishments and of course the stamped images. The photo album is ready to be filled ~ I just need to get around to printing out some pics. Thank you also for the Whitaker's Strawberry Cremes ~ yummy! I also have to mention that my daughter loved the box you sent the items in and wonders why the stores here don't have such pretty boxes LOL!
FranThank you for this wonderful assortment of goodies. The vellum papers are gorgeous, and as I had mentioned earlier to you, the ribbons are perfect for my daughters as one's favorite color is pink and the other's purple and the wooden scrapbook girls will be great to use on a layout of them. The cording and elastics will be wonderful to use on my boy's things and the dome embellishments will be a fun addition to cards. Now to get going on my first accordian book.....
Inky Impressions is holding it's first Design Team Call. This is a brand new stamp company and from the previews I see that Nicole has created some adorable stamps. They look like a lot of fun to work with and can't wait until they are available. I am so excited to be trying out and hope to make it in the top 10.
These are my two submissions. They are actually my very first copic colored cards (I just got my copics last week Friday and haven't had a lot of time to play with them yet, but think I will love them). I also enjoy using pencils and OMS for a more subtle effect.
Edited to add: When making this card, I made it with my son's birthday in mind, so it is now his ~ he loves it and has it on display in his room ~ what more could I ask for!

Nicole ~ Thank you for the chance to apply and please feel free to look at some of my other work here. I hope I have what you are looking for.
Updated to add that with over 120 entries, I didn't make it through to the next round, but am looking forward to seeing who makes it on the DT ~ there were so many fabuolus submissions.
These are also two of the three cards I used for the DT call for Paper Makeup Stamps.
Just because I haven't been writing much lately, doesn't mean I've been sitting by idly. I am working on reorganizing my craft room ~ which is a major undertaking, but when I'm done, I know I'll be glad I did it. I definitely needed more wall storage so today my husband built me a new shelving unit for the area above my marble topped drawer unit. Unfortunately I have to wait until it gets painted before it can be put up. Hopefully the painter will be able to do it this week! Once it is all done, I will share pics of my room.
I made this card because I was just in a summer time mood (and the stamp is perfect for me since I have 2 girls and 2 boys).
This card I made for my niece's birthday. I only wish I had looked closely at the picture before I mailed it, since it is a bit blurry. I love these Ginger Snaps stamps from CC Designs and can't wait to get more.
I made this card for my brother's birthday. My kids keep telling me this is a girl because of the hair, but I think he's cute. Besides his hair is short compared to the guys in those 80's "hair" bands (which by the way, I loved).
I love this image. She is so sweet. This card was made just because. I wish I had this stamp, but I just have a few images in my stash from someone.
Here is a little older card. I made this one for my daughter's birthday. Purple is her absolute favorite color ~ I only wish I had some big purple flowers when I made it ~ for some reason I just can't seem to find any when I'm out and about. This is another one that I received a few images of and wish I had the stamp for.
Sweet 16. I don't know anyone turning 16 in the near future, but I decided to make something different and like how it turned out. My daughter said I should save it for her for when she turns 16.....she'll probably hate it by then LOL!
Since I started my blog after the holidays, I never shared the Christmas cards I made for my kids, so I thought I would. I love to make each kid's card specifically for them, and try to incorporate their style, their favorite color, or something that they like in the card.
I had wanted to add these earlier, and just haven't gotten around to it. Anyways, here are the cards I made for my son's for Valentine's Day. My daughter's cards I've already shared.
I decided to join in the MFT Challenges this month and wanted to share them with you.
Ambassador Challenge #1 This was to make a Spring Card using no flowers and no black. How can you do a spring card without flowers? I had quite a few ideas for stamps to use, but they had a little flower somewhere, so back to the drawing board. I finally decided to use a bunny and some bright colors. Here is what I came up with:
Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated Stamps: Bunny Hugs, Sentiment - Michael's Ink: Pixie Pink; Memento - Brown Paper: Pixie Pink, Green Galore/ White- Gina K / DP - DCWV Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Ribbon, Dew Drops (Robin's Nest), White pom pom (unknown), Nesties, Martha Stewart Border Punch , Prismacolor and Bic Mark It Markers
Ambassador Challenge #2 This was to make a card using the color Pumpkin, paper piecing, and some bling. I have only used Pumpkin Pie cardstock as an accent color, so I was worried about how this would turn out, but I was pleasantly surprised with the end result. Here it is:
Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated Stamps: MFT - Shower Time, SU - Live Your Dream (thank you) Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Memento - Tuxedo Black Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, DSP - Bali Breeze Accessories: Flower Fusion (felt flowers), ribbon, Dew Drops (Robin's Nest), Martha Stewart Border Punch, rhinestone brad (unknown)
MFT Idol Challenge For the entry, you could do any type of card/project you wanted. After tonight, all entries will be judged and the top 10 will move on to the next round with a winner being announced on June 3rd. The winner will receive a $250 shopping spree ~ how fun would that be!?! There are a bunch of fantastic entries, but as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained ~ so I decided to give it a shot. Here is my submission:
Card Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated Stamps: MFT - Maid For You Ink: Chocolate Chip; Archival Ink - Black Paper: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip; White (Papertrey); DP - K & Co Accessories: Corner Punch, Vintage Brads, Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Houndstooth), Vintage Button, Prismacolor and Bic Mark Its markers
