Tooth Fairy Box

Paper Makeup Stamps had a challenge on the week long Stampin Out Alzheimers Fundraising event to use a "winged thing" on your project. I chose to use a Fairy from The Greeting Farm and make a Tooth Fairy Box for my youngest daughter (since she has only lost two teeth so far, she will get plenty of use from it). I colored her with my copics and added stickles to the wings for some sparkle. The patterend paper I chose to use for the inside also has butterflies on it, so there was another winged thing present ;) I used decopage glue to adhere the patterned paper to the metal tin (altoid size) after I punched the edges with a corner rounder punch and then adhered the fairy in the same way. I printed the poem and punched it with a Scallop Oval Punch and adhered it with decopage glue as well. "Ashley's Tooth Box" was also printed and then punched with an oval punch and adhered to the patterned paper (punched with a scallop oval punch) with flower brads and then adhered to the box with Sticky tape. Finally ribbon was added around the tin with mini glue dots.

The only thing I may add is some mini clear rhinestones on the scallops around the poem ~ I just didn't have quite enough left to do it when I made this.

Ashley absolutely loves her new box and since she has a loose tooth, is looking forward to using it in the near future.

Recipe~ all items SU unless indicated
Stamps: Fairy Tink - The Greeting Farm
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics

Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White; DP - DCWV
Embellishments: Ribbon (Offray and Michael's); Stickles; Brads (Making Memories)

Tools: SU Corner Rounder, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch; Marvy Mega Scallop Oval Punch

I found out that this project also qualifies for these challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenge which is to use a fairy on your project/card
Stamp with Fun's which is to create anything but a card
Charisma Cardz which is to use dots (which is on both my ribbon and the patterned paper inside the tin
Cute Card Thursday which is to use bling (lots of stickles)

I love when I can get multiple challenges covered with one card/project, and I think that at 5 I am at the most I've ever been, but I'm not as good as True, who managed to get 18 challenges with one card ~ WOW! I haven't even been to that many challenge blogs yet.

I have a lot more cards to share that I made over the weekend so keep an eye out ;)

this is a wonderful idea! my daughter will love to have a tin of her own to put her baby teeth in! I think I'll make her one like this so the "tooth fairy" doesn't have to keep making her little baggies to put them in...lol! TFS and for stopping by my blog to leave me sweet comments!
